Catching Up

Over the past few weeks I have been exetremely busy. Work and life tend to come before a blog whenever there is a conflict of time. However it is time to fix this. Starting tomorrow I will update all of my NFL picks and post my record. I will discuss Alex Rodriguez and his value. We will take some time to catch up on Purdue and the closing of the NCAA Football season. Glavine returned home, and maybe just in time; we'll look at the moves made by Atlanta Braves. Through all of this I have missed the start of NCAA Basketball season. That isn't allowed where I am from. You cant live on Tobacco road and not pay attention to Basketball in November.

So there you have it; at least five new article coming up this week. Again I am sorry to have neglected my readers for a few weeks but I hope you will return once again.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Week 10 Picks

This past week i have been hosting my in-laws and have yet to get around to posting the articles I wanted to. Quickly before the first round of games begins at 1 I am going to post my picks for this week's NFL games. Tomorrow I am going to add an article on the NCAA Basketball Season. I am going to do a quick preview of the current number 1 team: UNC Tarheels.

Last week I was 9-5 in my picks. There were a few teams that showed up and brought alittle something new to their games. I was impressed with the way the scheduled played last week and was glad to see some teams win despite the fact that I picked against them.

This Week's Picks:

Sunday
Green Bay over Minnesota
Jacksonville over Tennessee
Kansas City over Denver
Buffalo over Miami
New Orleans over St. Louis
Pittsburgh over Cleveland
Washington over Philadelphia
Carolina over Atlanta (Carolina beat Atlanta in Atlanta-who is 0-3 away, so despite the 0-3 home record Carolina hangs on in this match up)
Baltimore over Cincinnati
Chicago over Oakland
Dallas over the Giants (again)
Detroit over Arizona
Indianapolis over San Diego

Monday
Seattle over San Francisco

The Mind's Record
9-5 Last week
78-52 Overall

Week 9 Picks

Last week I went 10-3. This week I hope to build on that momentum. First I would like to talk about Superbowl XLI 1/2. The outcome seems to be an easy guess, Patriots over Colts, however the rankings are wrong going into this week. The Colts deserve to be #1 not #2. The Colts won the Superbowl last year and are undefeated since then. If you are the number one team at the start of the season and you have yet to lose, you are obviously still number one. Not to mention the Colts schedule has been stronger than the Patriots. The Patriots haven't played a tough group of teams this year. The Colts however are playing playoff contenders each week. Not until around 8:00 tonight will the Pats prove that they are better than the colts and only then should they be the #1 team in the NFL.

This Weeks Picks:
Sunday:
San Francisco over Atlanta
Buffalo over Cincinnati
Detroit over Denver
Carolina over Tennessee
Green Bay over Kansas City
San Diego over Minnesota
Jacksonville over New Orleans
New York Jets over Washington
Tampa Bay over Arizona
Cleveland over Seattle
New England over Indianapolis
Houston over Oakland
Dallas over Philadelphia

Monday:
Pittsburgh over Baltimore

The Mind's Record:
Last Week: 10-3
Overall: 69-47
