Today is yet another great day in College Football. With six games to welcome in 2008 it is hard to complain, despite the BCS messing up its rankings and the national title game. Let’s take a look at what is coming up and which game deserves more than they got from the BCS.

No. 16 Tennessee v. No. 18 Wisconsin
The Volunteers of Tennessee have won the close games and lost big on the others. Despite achieving no blowouts this season, they put together some impressive wins and earned a respectable spot in the BCS standings and a bowl appearance. Both teams have young defenses that have lived up to their schools reputations.
The Mind says: Tennessee over Wisconsin
No. 6 Missouri v. Arkansas
Here is another game that shows us the BCS is a joke. Who wants to see Mizzou beat the pants off of an unranked opponent. I love Darren McFadden and am glad he gets to play in a bowl game, but why not unranked Arkansas v. unranked Michigan. Then you can put Mizzou against Florida. Despite the mixed match I feel Arkansas will come out and prove they deserved this game.
The Mind says: Mizzou over Arkansas
No. 12 Florida v. Michigan
The returning champs have only met up with Michigan one time in the past. In 2002 the Wolverines beat the Gators 38-30. Michigan’s defense has to be on top of their game today, as Tim Tebow, Heisman winner, leads the offense for the Gators.
The Mind says: Florida over Michigan
No. 20 Virginia v. Texas Tech
The ACC Coach of the year, Al Groh, gets a chance to show the nation just how he earned the title. Despite the coaching and excellent play of the Cavs, they have not faced a team that compares to Texas Tech. Without a running game in their bag of tricks, the Red Raiders have put up 41 points a game.
The Mind says: Virginia over Texas Tech
No. 7 USC v. No. 13 Illinois
The NCAA Coach of the Year, Ron Zook, has earned a spot to open the BCS Bowl games with his team Illinois taking on USC. Both defensive are incredible and should be able to stonewall the offense. Illinois uses a spread offense and unless they have prepared something new than the Trojans should stop them easily. Like most of the season, the USC crowd should play close until the second half, and after a conversation in the locker room Pete Carroll will have his Trojans return to the field and break-a-way from the Fighting Illini.
The Mind says: USC over Illinois
No. 5 Georgia v. No. 10 Hawaii
Here it is, the true National Title game. Georgia was ranked number two in the country, and without playing, the seventh ranked LSU tigers, jumped five spots in the BCS and earned a chance to play OSU. And Hawaii, undefeated in the season, deserves the right to play anyone for the National Title. Anybody in the country. So here it is: Georgia v. Hawaii for the “true” national title.
The Mind says: HAWAII beats Georgia, even ESPN stated that Hawaii was the best in the nation.
