No game here. This is the second year that Canada has hosted a bowl game. This year they brought in two teams with decent records, and Rutgers was at one point ranked in the BCS. Rutgers brings with them the Big East’s leading pass defense and a standout running back. Ball State will have to rely on the quiet success of Nate Davis, he had 3376 yards and 27 touchdowns. The passing game will beat the running game, but if the team you face has the best passing defense in their conference you need to run.

Here is the real game today. ABC hosts the Under Armour All-American game. This game will feature the top high school seniors in the country and let the college world get a taste of next year. There are two guys to look for today: Sam McGuffie, and I guy I haven’t talked about before, Aundre Dean of Katy (Texas). As a junior Aundre ran for 2,111 yards and 27 touchdowns, then as a senior he ran for 2,498 yards and 26 touchdowns. Aundre is currently the most talked about recruit at the All-American game today and has yet to commit to a school. Aundre committed twice only to hear that the coaching staffs that recruited him were fired. Now he has a short list of college’s he is speaking to. I like the match of Aundre and Alabama, but what if Aundre added Arkansas to his list of favorites? Darren McFadden and Aundre Dean would be an unstoppable combination.
